Commercial LED Display Range
LED systems selected for reliability, image stability and long-term service
ANN VIEW supplies commercial LED display systems for Australian projects where long-term stability matters. We focus on protected indoor LED, developing COB fine-pitch technology, copper-bracket outdoor LED and custom LED display builds instead of lowest-entry-cost LED modules.
Commercial-grade first
We recommend LED systems based on viewing distance, brightness, installation environment, service access, video frame rate, LED scan refresh requirements and expected maintenance risk.
No low-reliability shortcuts
We do not supply standard unprotected indoor SMD LED walls, regular outdoor iron-bracket LED lamp packages, below-60Hz video-frame display systems or virtual-pixel schemes that make headline specifications look higher while delivering limited real image detail as standard commercial product lines.
Gold wire when justified
Copper-bracket gold-wire LED packages can be specified for premium projects, but they carry a high price premium. For most jobs, copper-bracket alloy-wire packages provide a better value balance.
Protected indoor LED walls for close-view commercial spaces
GOB is an improved SMD LED module with a clear protective resin layer over the front surface. It keeps the proven SMD display structure while improving resistance to touch, dust, moisture and light impact.
- Protected SMD surface
- Good value indoor option
- Reduced impact damage risk
- Retail, schools and showrooms
Next-generation fine-pitch LED for premium indoor viewing
COB bonds LED chips directly onto the PCB and encapsulates the surface, reducing exposed parts and soldering points. It is a strong direction for fine-pitch indoor LED, with lower heat and failure-point potential when sourced and calibrated properly.
- Developing technology
- Fine pixel pitch
- Lower power and heat potential
- Requires careful colour calibration
Outdoor LED built around better heat dissipation and longer service life
For regular outdoor LED signs and display walls, ANN VIEW prioritises copper-bracket LED lamp packages with commercial-grade alloy-wire bonding. This refers to the internal bracket inside each LED lamp package. Many low-cost outdoor LED displays use iron-bracket lamp packages to reduce upfront cost. ANN VIEW does not use standard outdoor iron-bracket packages as a regular product line, because the package structure can limit heat dissipation, electrical stability and increase long-term dead-lamp risk.
- Main outdoor recommendation
- Better thermal path
- Lower dead-lamp risk
- Shopfronts and outdoor signs
Project-built LED displays for special size, shape and installation needs
Custom LED projects are specified after confirming size, viewing distance, pixel pitch, brightness, cabinet depth, mounting structure, media playback and service access. Special-shape LED builds will still use iron-bracket structures where the shape, cabinet design or manufacturing method requires it.
- Curved and shaped LED
- Special size builds
- Indoor or outdoor design
- Project quote required
Technology Difference
How ANN VIEW positions each LED option
This comparison separates the LED technologies ANN VIEW recommends, the situations where each option makes sense, and the lower-reliability options we avoid for standard commercial work.
| LED option | Best use | Main advantage | ANN VIEW note |
|---|---|---|---|
| GOB IndoorProtected SMD surface | Standard protected indoor projectsRetail stores, schools, showrooms, churches, reception areas and public spaces where people may stand close to the screen. | Protective layer over SMDKeeps the familiar SMD display structure, then adds a clear surface layer to improve resistance to touch, dust, moisture and light impact. | Recommended value optionUsually our first indoor recommendation when the project needs better durability than bare SMD but does not require premium COB fine-pitch performance. |
| COB IndoorDeveloping fine-pitch technology | Premium close-view indoor displaysBoardrooms, control rooms, high-end retail, broadcast-facing spaces and fine-pitch display walls viewed from short distance. | Fewer exposed package partsLED chips are bonded closer to the board and encapsulated, giving potential benefits in heat, power, pixel density and surface durability. | Use with technical controlCOB is a strong future direction, but colour consistency, batch matching, calibration, module replacement and service process must be checked before final approval. |
| Copper-Bracket OutdoorRegular outdoor recommendation | Commercial outdoor signsShopfronts, roadside advertising, venue screens, building signage and outdoor display walls exposed to heat, sun and weather. | Better thermal and electrical pathCopper-bracket LED lamp packages with commercial-grade alloy-wire bonding help reduce heat-related stress and long-term dead-lamp risk. | ANN VIEW preferred outdoor lineMany low-cost outdoor LED displays use iron-bracket LED lamp packages to reduce upfront cost. For regular outdoor projects, ANN VIEW prioritises copper-bracket LED lamp packages instead. |
| Custom LEDProject-specific build | Non-standard size or shapeCurved screens, shaped LED, columns, creative signage, unusual cabinet depth, special mounting or site-specific installation limits. | Designed around the jobThe final structure depends on screen size, viewing distance, pixel pitch, brightness, cabinet depth, mounting, media playback and service access. | Engineering decisionSpecial-shape projects will use iron-bracket structures when the shape, cabinet design or manufacturing method requires it. |
| Standard Indoor SMDNot a regular product line | Budget-only indoor display requestsIndoor LED walls where the lowest upfront price is the main requirement and surface protection is not important. | Lowest entry costTraditional SMD is mature and widely used, but the exposed lamp surface is more vulnerable in close-view public environments. | ANN VIEW does not standardise thisWe do not supply standard unprotected indoor SMD LED walls as a regular product line; GOB is the preferred protected SMD-surface option. |
| Iron-Bracket LED PackageCommon low-cost outdoor choice | Price-sensitive outdoor displaysOutdoor LED signs built with lower-cost iron-bracket LED lamp packages, where initial price is prioritised over long-term heat management and dead-lamp risk. | Lower package costThe iron bracket is inside each LED lamp package and is commonly used to reduce the lamp-package cost. | Common in the market, not our preferred outdoor lineMany suppliers use iron-bracket LED lamp packages for cost-sensitive outdoor projects. For regular outdoor signs and display walls, ANN VIEW prioritises copper-bracket LED lamp packages. Special-shape custom LED is reviewed separately. |
Quality Standard
LED products we no longer supply
Some LED systems look attractive on upfront price, but the specification can create higher risk after installation. These images show the options ANN VIEW avoids for standard commercial projects.
Avoid as standard
Bare indoor SMD
A touch can damage exposed lamp beads, and close viewing can make uneven light easier to see.
ANN VIEW uses protected GOB or suitable COB instead.
Avoid as standard
Iron-bracket LED package
The bracket is inside each LED lamp package. Iron packages can run hotter outdoors and raise dead-lamp risk.
ANN VIEW uses copper-bracket LED packages for regular outdoor jobs.
Avoid as standard
Hidden 30Hz video output
ANN VIEW avoids “1080” claims that hide a 30Hz real output; phones may show water-ripple flicker or rolling bands.
ANN VIEW specifies 60Hz or higher video operation.Approximate screen width and height, indoor or outdoor location, viewing distance, installation photos, brightness requirement and whether customers will film the screen.
